Winter at railway

Minus 10 celsius, blizzard, in some places snow is knee deep and we're going for a photo walk somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Sounds crazy, but surprisingly it turned out to be a pretty good day. Walked a few kilometers around one of Vilnius' industrial areas. Later weather changed from a blizzard to a calm evening with a clear sky.

Banda Dzeta @ Woo

I was asked to take some photos from a "Banda Dzeta" concert that took place in a party at Woo club. So here they are:

End of the first semester

Bones and architecture. Pencil, spray paint, ink.
Of course graphic tasks are necessary while studying architecture, but, in my opinion, current tasks are quite far from what they supposed to be and not suited for 3rd academic year, more like 1st or 2nd. Still lots of work to do while making studying quality at Vilnius Art Academy better and up-to-date. The good thing is that cunstructing bones is someway related to architecture, organic and nonorganic contructs. Second good thing is that using ink makes you to value blots as much as lines and makes you feel more relaxed while sketching.
But I would love to get tasks more related to showing and introducing your architecture idea in different ways, creating a project layout and learning something extra about modeling and of course something about the potencial client's psychology, it's no secret that successful project alone is not worth much without a proper presentation. And if digiart was included.. or I'm asking too much:). I guess it's hard to find an up-to-date professional who would agree to work with students considering the salary they're offered..

2009.09.28 Lithuanian downhill cup

The event took place in Vilnius, Liepkalnis, Laimis hill. I think it's possible to call this event a beginnig of Lithuanian downhill scene. There are no mountains here in Lithuania, only a couple of hills, definitely not a perfect place to ride downhill but we've got big ambitions and we're happy that it's not 100% flat out here:). The bright side is that Vilnius has the biggest percentage of forests compared to any other capital in Europe! So.. not that bad:)).
Culmination of the day - award ceremony, champagne, joy, gangsta rap and afterparty!
There were some problems with my photo equipment that day, therefore not too much of media. At least got a chance to see the event with my own eyes and not through the camera lens and didn't need a whole day for photo editing..:)

2009.09.20 one day ride

Friends training a few days before first Lithuanian dh cup race in Vilnius. Meanwhile I still don't have a bike, gotta stick with camera:). Getting more and more into sport photography
